Craig Chynoweth

Hi! My name is Craig, aka Smokey. My friends at Music Box call me Smokey because by day, I’m a fire fighter for Shelby. It’s after I’m done putting out fires and saving lives that I get to have the thrill of making people party and dance. I’m what we call a DJ producer at Music Box.

My love for music began when I was very young with the first tape I owned: Run DMC. From that point forward, I was hooked on music. Over time, my musical preferences have become pretty diverse: from Rap to Country, Rock to Electronic. I really do like it all.

Being a DJ started as a hobby but it wasn’t long before I found my true love for the profession of being a DJ. I have been with Music Box Productions since 2006 and I have worked weddings, bars & clubs, schools, house parties and corporate events. As a producer, my job is to enhance your event with my music knowledge, energy, & personality. I also play a big part in reading your crowd helping to put together a blend of music that is perfectly suited for your special day.
